Byne is an Acts 1:8 church.  It is committed to developing Great Commission Christians.

Becoming an on-mission Christian is brought about through our Missions Program in two ways:  education and application.

Adults have organized into the Men’s Ministry and Women’s Missionary Union.  These meet monthly.  Many speakers are invited to come and  share information about local, state, national and international needs and accomplishments with the  congregation.  We desire to be as well informed as possible so we can pray and offer assistance in the most effective way possible.  Each of these adults groups are involved in many ministries in our city and beyond.  Mission trips are conducted annually for phyical and spiritual goals requested by the people to whom we minister.

The Men’s Ministry and Women’s Missionary Union are also responsible for the mission education of the children.  We have weekly meetings on Wednesday nights for Preschoolers (Mission Friends), Children (Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors), and Youth or Students (Acteens an Challengers).  Besides missions education, these groups also do many mission projects either on Wednesday or on other days of the week.
