Music Ministry For All Ages PDF Print E-mail
Children

There are two choirs for children: "Kingdom Kids" for Kindergarten ages 4-5, and "Awesome Kids" for grades 1-6. Both are staffed with energetic Christian leaders who love children and love music. The children experience the joy of musical expressions to God and develop musical, spiritual, social and physical skills as part of being involved in choir. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:00. "Kingdom Kids" in Room 422. "Awesome Kids" in the Choir Room.

Youth

Our students are invited to get involved in three different Ministry Teams that are part of the Music Ministry. All of the groups rehearse on a rotating basis at 4:00 on Sunday afternoons.

(1) Choir: Students sing together as a team/ensemble in leading worship services and other special events during the year. For those individuals who possess solo skills, this group serves as a support and encourager to grow in their talents.

(2) Fish Stix: This group presents an unusual and captivating ministry using sticks ("God Rods"), music and choreography. Based upon Jeff Smith’s "Salt and Light Ministries," students present an exciting, moving, visual and audio image of the message of Jesus Christ.

(3) Drama: The impact of life-changing scenes acted out on stage is a dynamic part of our ministries at Byne. Youth who participate in the drama team experience opportunities to act in various sizes of groups, different lengths of sketches, and individually if they desire.

Adults

Adults experience music ministry through a variety of opportunities throughout the year:

Celebration Choir, Orchestra, Handbells, Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles, Solos, Seasonal Production Ministries (Drama, Set Construction, Stage/Props, Costumes, Make-Up, Technical Teams [sound, lights, effects, etc.], Publicity), and Leadership positions in the various musical groups.Senior Adults

The folks who have loved and served God through the many years, who have been mentors and have shared testimonies of God’s faithfulness to the present generations, continue to serve in music ministry through the Senior Adult Choir. Their’s is a testimony in song to God’s abundant love, grace, power and holiness. Rehearsals are Sundays at 4:00pm in the Chapel.
