Worship Ministries PDF Print E-mail
Worship is a vital part of life at Byne Memorial and is essential to a person’s spiritual journey. Christ-followers are called to live a lifestyle of worship that testifies to a personal relationship with God. The Worship Ministry strives to provide an environment of praise, celebration and reverence through the power of the Holy Spirit.

If you are interested in learning if the Worship Ministry leadership is the right place for you to serve, check out the following areas of interest:

Celebration Choir

The Celebration Choir is composed of folks who love to sing to the Lord. They are primarily responsible for musical leadership in the 10:45 Sunday morning worship services. Rehearsals are times of spiritual and musical growth, as we work, sing, pray, love and encourage each other. It is our sincere desire that you find the Celebration Choir to be an opportunity to use your talents in God’s ministry through music and worship and to develop genuine Christian family relationships with other believers. Visit us Wednesday nights at 7:30 in the choir room.  Child care is provided.

Orchestra

If you play an instrument, come join us! The Orchestra accompanies our services and works with our vocal groups for special presentations and seasonal events. We welcome players of all the band/orchestra instruments- woodwind, brass, strings, percussion, as well as pianists and keyboard players and guitar players. There are a variety of instrumental settings, and we can find a place for you to serve. Our instrumentalists play a very important role in worship leadership. Rehearsals are held at 6:00pm Wednesdays in the sanctuary. Players should own their  instrument and be able to read music in a variety of keys.

Worship Teams

Most of our worship services use vocal worship teams to aid in congregational worship. These are composed of men and women who are active in the adult or youth choir ministries who have a passion for God and worship, and who are singers capable of quick learning, adaptability and flexibility in singing vocal parts.

Soloists/Ensembles

Throughout the year many different soloists and ensembles serve the Lord through worship services and other events at Byne Memorial. While most of these folks are drawn from our choirs and orchestra, we are always looking for people who are gifted in worship, talented in music and have a heart for serving the Lord.
