Charlie Brown- Adult Ed./Missions PDF Print E-mail
Charlie was born in  Montgomery, Alabama, but spent most of his life before seminary in Florida.  He graduated from the University of Florida with a  Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.  After teaching  school for a little over seven years, he felt the call to full time ministry.  He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

“All Christians are called to become on – mission Christians in obedience to Matthew 28:18 - 20 and Acts 1:8.  Christian adults are to continue to grow as  disciples inwardly, as well as exhibit this growth outwardly, until leaving this earth.  Beginning first at home, this involves seeking to reach the world for Christ, and then discipling others using their God given unique talents, spiritual gifts and world location. Methods may change, but God’s purpose, principles, and plans never do!  Each adult must do whatever it takes to see His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Charlie is married to the former Retha Rethwisch of St. Louis, MO.  Charlie and Retha have three married daughters: Monica, Charlene, and Jana.

Charlie has been in ministry since 1982 having served in Bonham, Texas then in Blackshear, Valdosta, and Albany, Georgia.
