Music Ministries
Music Ministries at Byne are all about praising our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We have folks of all ages, from little children through senior adults, involved in our worship experiences, both on and off campus. Several groups exist through which people can participate and grow in the Lord spiritually and musically.
Celebration Choir- for adults who love to sing His praises and are part of the 9:00am Sunday services. We sing a variety of styles of music and rehearse Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00pm.
Casual Crew vocalists- for singers who celebrate in a more contemporary style of worship. The CC currently has two teams of singers that rotate monthly.
Sounds of Promise vocal ensemble- a mixture of men and women who enjoy singing a wide variety of Christian music in various styles. This group sings in worship generally every 4-6 weeks. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
Instrumentalists- all of our services need instrumentalists: band instruments, piano (if you have ever played piano, at any level, we need you. Over the years many folks who play piano (from just past beginners to advanced) have added to worship playing keyboards. Let us show you how!) pop band (guitars, etc). The 9:00am service mainly uses piano/organ/keyboards, band instruments and percussion. We use all kinds of instrumentalists. The 11:11 Casual Service is more contemporary band focused with guitars, drums, percussion, keyboards, etc.. The 6:00pm service is similar
to the 9:00am service. Youth and adults are involved in the instrumental ministry.
Children’s Choirs- for preschool through 6th grade. These are exciting times for children to learn to praise God with their voices and instruments. They meet Wednesday nights at 6:00.
Keyboard Ensemble- This group is specifically for folks who have played piano at some level (or organ). We combine keyboards and pianos to form an “orchestra” of instruments. It is a truly unique experience. We not only “perform” in worship services but have done many Christian concerts in places around Albany.
