Ministry Teams
Ministry teams exist to build up the body of Christ and to advance the
Examples of ministries carried on by teams include operating a children’s bounce house at community festivals, providing weekly English lessons to internationals, visiting area prisons, helping teenagers stay on track with God, offering recreational opportunities to the community, caring for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one, ministering during the trauma of divorce, mentoring marriage couples, ministering to women, relating to men, making crafts, and many other ministry areas. Ministry teams are encouraged to partner with believers of other local evangelical churches, so that the larger body of Christ in the area unites together in reaching the community with the good news of Jesus Christ.
The Deacons are a team of servant ministers meeting the needs of the body of Christ. Each active deacon shepherds a flock of approximately 37 families per deacon. The Deacon Ministry Team also cares for those who are homebound.
Byne has two core leadership teams. The Vision Team, comprised of seven people, partners with the pastor and staff in evaluating current ministry and prayerfully moving the church forward into the future. The Stewardship Team, comprised of five people, partners with the pastor and staff in promoting the proper use and investment of resources, including personal and church finances and belongings, the church campus and church related entities, as well as the proper compensation of church employees.
